Fabric, Antique Cotton Velveteen Early 20th Century 1 yd,13″ by 18″ Selvage to Selvage
There is almost a yard and a half of this very light and delicate cotton velveteen from about 1915. In those days fabric was narrower than it is today–they just didn’t have the machines to make the wide, wide fabrics we know today, and this cotton velveteen would have been very expensive. There is enough here to make a jacket, cape and hat, or cloak for an antique doll, or for a fancy cushion if that is what you like. It is black but in bright light looks almost a dark gray. This is very special fabric and all I have left of it. It was in a huge collection of fabric I purchased about 35 years ago from the estate of a ballerina who made her own costumes, she was 97 when she died, and there were many yards of wonderful fabric that I have used up or sold over the years since then.
This fabrisc is of course on clearance. There are no refunds or exchanges so if you have question please ask before buying, you may call me any day between 9 AM and 8 PM at 360-836-7556 or email your questions.
