Description

This is not old but is rayon taffeta, which I bought by the bolt when I was doing doll shows. Rayon taffeta was used for doll clothes from WW1 until the 1960s, when polyester became the norm. It was cheaper and could be washed. Taffeta dresses for the 50s dolls  were and still are very popular. The rayon taffeta is soft and lends itself well to doll dresses, the skirts hang as they should.
