Book- the Fashionable Lady in the 19th Century
A soft cover book in good condition~ lots of information about the fashions of the 19th Century. An absolute treasure trove of pictures of the clothing styles for women from 1800-1900. The entire book is pictures with dates and comments at the tops and bottoms of the pages. Having dressed dolls over this period and before, this book was used to keep me from making fashion mistakes for a lady doll of any given year. Whether you make dolls, doll clothes, or both, this will give you an education. No tears but there are some dog ears where I marked a fashion I wanted to copy! Printed in London in 1960. Victoria and Albert museum.
This book will fit into a flat rate padded envelope, so if the shopping cart overcharges on shipping, I always refund the overage.
All laces, trims, notions and fabrics are sold by the piece or package only. The yardage listed is accurate on each one, and while most are more than one piece, I don’t put on any pieces that are under 2 yards. If you should find a 1 yard piece, it was not included in the final count, I just don’t like to throw away the shorter pieces so include them at no charge. If you have a question about this please feel free to call or email.
