Composition Doll Dress, Slip, Panties

This Mama doll dress is made of antique 1930's fabric and lace, a copy of an original. It is shown on a 26" doll, the largest it will fit, but will also nicely fit a 25" doll. It fastens in the back with a snap and comes with slip and panties.

There is an option to also buy the doll, please choose the right option, dress set only or dress and doll. With purchase of the doll, shoes are included, purchase of dress set ( dress, slip, panties) does NOT include shoes and socks, they stay with the doll.

I am selling some antique dolls for a friend whose mother died and left them. She is herself in her 60s and has no one to leave the dolls to, so wants to see them go to someone who will appreciate them.
A wonderful example of the big composition mama dolls made throughout the 1920s and 1930's. This one has been fully professeionally restored by an alumni of JoAnn Morgan of Morgan's Collectibles. She has a new human hair wig in the traditional long curl style popular for little girls of the era. She is dressed in a dress of 1930s printed voile that is a copy of an original dress of the time, and trimmed with antique lace from the same era. She has cotton slip and panties and rayon socks. She was made by the Royal Doll Company. The original company was in business from 1914-1973. Unfortunately there is not much information about their early dolls, but I have dealt with many during my years of doll collecting and selling. The doll is all in excellent condition.
